How do I get to Belize?

How do I get from the Belize International Airport to San Pedro?
Take a scenic 15-minute flight from Belize City International Airport to San Pedro via our local airlines: Maya Island Air or Tropic Air. Our friendly reservations staff will be more than happy to make the necessary arrangements for you.
The alternative is by water taxi. The terminal is located in downtown Belize City and departs several times per day. First, you will need to take a 20-minute ride in a private taxi from the International Airport to the terminal. Upon arrival, purchase your tickets to Ambergris Caye and wait for the next available departure. Schedule times vary, so we recommend contacting them closer to your arrival for current schedules. Travel time from Belize City to San Pedro is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
NOTE: To arrange a smooth transfer to the resort upon arrival, kindly email us your international and domestic flight or water taxi itinerary at info@portofinobelize.com at least 3 days prior to your arrival date.

What amenities are provided in the rooms?
Our amenities include daily housekeeping service. Each room is equipped with air-conditioning, ceiling fans, flat-screen internet TV, mini-refrigerator, hair dryer, and free Wi-Fi. Room service is offered to every room. Bathroom amenities include organic soaps, shampoo, and conditioner.

What forms of payment are accepted in Belize and at Portofino Beach Resort Belize?
In Belize, various forms of payment are accepted. Major credit cards include Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. US cash is also widely accepted at an exchange rate of BZ$2 to US$1. At Portofino Beach Resort Belize, accounts may be settled by US cash, Belize cash, Euros, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover.
What is your Cancellation Policy?
High and Low Season
Full refund less US$100 processing fee, per room, if canceled more than 45 days before arrival.
Deposits are non-refundable 45 days or less before arrival.
Peak Season
Full refund less US$150 processing fee, per room, if canceled more than 45 days before arrival.
Deposits are non-refundable 60 days or less before arrival.
We strongly recommend the purchase of trip cancellation/interruption insurance to safeguard your travel expenses due to any unforeseen circumstances.

Is there a fee for an extra person joining for an overnight stay?
